Our statement regarding direct flights from Singapore to Manado

The route from Singapore (SIN) to Manado (MDC) is currently operated by Silk Air, who announced in November 2018 that they would be transferring this route, along with others, to Scoot Air. Scoot are a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines and to date, two of the planned routes have already smoothly transitioned to Scoot’s operations.
The planned transitioning of direct flights from Singapore Changi to Manado International is expected to begin with flight slot permissions being agreed in November 2019 and Civil Aviation Authority approval being granted shortly after. Upon CAA confirmation flight tickets will be made available for sale.
It is anticipated that ticketing by Scoot will commence by January 2020, if not before.
For overseas guests planning to visit North Sulawesi prior to May 4th 2020 tickets may be booked through Silk Air. For guests who have planned travel dates from May 5th 2020 onwards, and who wish to obtain flight tickets prior to Scoot tickets being made available, flights are available from Singapore via Jakarta (Garuda) or Bali (Lion Air).
